8. – 9. November 2024.

Martinje on the Međimurje Wine Road brings together the programs of all the winemakers of the Međimurje Wine Road that are organized on the occasion of St. Martin’s day, and the central event is in Štrigova at the Štrigova Cultural Center called „Mlado (Young) Međimurje in Štrigova“.

It is part of the program in which all the young wines of the winemaker “Hortus Croatiae” are presented and put on the market. The new young wine is gentle, lively and attractive. It is characterized by a light taste, low alcohol, a very intense and attractive smell and a fluffy freshness. Banfi, Cmrečnjak, DK – Dvanajščak Kozol, Horvat, Jakopić, Kocijan, Kunčić, Medenjak, Preiner and Štampar wineries will present their young wines at the Štrigova House of Culture. The Mlado Međimurje project was started by young Međimurje winemakers who, for the first time in Croatia, decided to offer customers young wines. In this way, they joined the world’s wine regions, especially those in Austria and France, where selected young, bottled wines are offered on the market only two to three months after the harvest. The specificity of this project is the wine authors themselves, who are both young and ambitious members of the second generation of winemakers who successfully continue the family tradition of wine production.

In addition to Mlado Međimurje, local family farms will also present their domestic products such as cheeses, cured meats, pumpkin oil, etc., and they will be able to sell their products during the event and thus spread awareness about buying domestic products that are high quality and within reach.
